Pennock PTO would like to help you keep your children safe
During the January general meeting, the first grade team and Mrs. Ortega discussed “Stranger Danger”.
Here are some things to think about and discuss with your child:
- 1. Does your child know what to do if no one is there to pick them up after school?
- 2. What is the plan if they get off the bus and no one is there waiting for them or no one is at home when they arrive.
- 3. If someone other than yourself or daycare person is picking them up, is a special code used?
- 4. Does your child know your first name, your home, cell and work #’s?
- 5. Are there any landmarks close to your home that your child should know in the event they are lost and need to tell a teacher or police officer.
The school does everything they can to keep the children safe. Safety is a top priority.
